Yk, I hate that adaptations keep making Peter a high schooler, and not just because it means he never evolves, but because the adaptations now also include wider Marvel, whitch usually (thanks to the MCU) is at the modern day stage with legacy characters and new age teen heroes, meaning that Peter is taking up Miles' spot and you can really tell when they put him next to someone like Kamala Khan or Sam Alexander who are Miles' pals. Tho Peter taking Miles' stuff is just a modern issue overall, just look at MCU whitch just stole and re-skinned Miles' personality, characters, story-beats, even the costume to an extent and then made it worse.

Rane is a man trapped in the burning silence of his own coiled trauma. there's a fascinating study of ptsd in#here somewhere‚ carefully folded underneath a violent revenge thriller; that more mainstream aspect is still well drawn‚ nowhere moreso#than the film's lengthy (and of course almost wordless) bloody final scenes. the violence there is comparable to true exploitation cinema#but through careful buildup and developed strain it doesn't feel unearned. it's the natural destination that this path of unhealing hurt#would lead. fascinating film and fascinating performances‚ from devane but also from a young TLJ in a superb support as the only man who's#been through the same hell and thus understands Rane completely without ever having to vocalise a thing

Alright, I got 632 words for a wpm of 42! Here's ya snippet, ya sneaky little jerk (we will NOT be doing Zelda, you know exactly what you're doing QUIT IT XD)
“It’s alright,” someone responded in what had to be an imitation of Sky’s gentle tones. Hands still dug harshly into his arms, tugging him forwards, and another pushed into the small of his back. Wild was surely walking on fire at this point, but he forced one foot in front of the other in an attempt to hold on to his last shred of dignity. Sky patted his shoulder. “It’s okay, we're going to go inside and rest, now. It’s alright. You’re okay.” The whispered reassurances and grabbing became all too much, and Wild squeezed his eyes shut. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry…” “Don’t hurt him!” Twilight shouted. “It was my fault, I spooked him, he didn’t mean it!”
